Introduction

    From here forward, these two lectures lecture adopts the approach of discussing several subjects from a typical first-year course in torts. I will initiate each new tort with a description of the “prima facie” case. The “prima facie” simply describes, for each claim (cause of action) the specific nature of the proof that the plaintiff must prove. The defendant will invariably nature respond with his own evidence that supports his argument that he should not be liable.
